스승과 제자의 특별한 듀오 무대! 대한민국 독보적 반도네오니스트 고상지와 스승 마르꼬니의 무대 기대
마포문화재단(대표이사 송제용)이 오는 10월 15일(일) 마포아트센터 아트홀맥에서 <모다 탱고 트리오 내한공연>을 개최한다. 현존하는 최고의 반도네온 테크니션이자 세계적 권위자, 네스토르 마르꼬니(Nestor Marconi)의 역사적 첫 내한이자 바이올리니스트 라파엘 진톨리(Rafael Gintoli), 콘트라베이시스트 후안 파블로 나바로(Juan Pablo Navarro)로 구성된 모다 탱고 트리오(Moda Tango Trio) 역시 이번 내한으로 처음 한국 관객을 만난다.
네스트로 마르꼬니는 전 세계적으로 존경 받는 탱고 음악의 거장으로 살아있는 반도네온의 전설이라 불린다. 누에보 탱고 음악의 창시자, 아스토르 피아졸라(Astor Piazzolla) 생전에 함께 연주하고 탱고 역사에서 가장 위대한 피아니스트로 손꼽히는 오라시오 살간(Oracio Salgan)의 팀에서 연주했다. 1997년에는 첼로 연주자 요요마 앨범에 참여하고 ‘요요마와 친구들’이라는 이름으로 미국 전역을 돌며 콘서트를 했다. 세계적인 피아니스트 마르타 아르헤리치(Martha Argerich)와 함께 연주했으며 전 세계 저명한 음반사와 수많은 음반을 녹음했다. 미국, 영국, 오스트리아, 스위스, 브라질, 우루과이, 스페인, 프랑스, 덴마크, 스웨덴, 노르웨이, 핀란드, 독일, 이탈리아, 호주, 뉴질랜드, 러시아, 리투아니아, 캐나다, 일본 등 전 세계의 무대에서 공연했다.
이번 공연에서는 특별히 한국을 대표하는 독보적 반도네오니스트 고상지와 듀오 무대도 선보인다. 2009년 반도네온을 공부하러 아르헨티나로 유학을 떠났던 고상지는 에밀리오 발카르세 오케스트라 학교(escuela de tango balcarce)에 입학하여 당시 학교 책임 디렉터였던 네스토르 마르꼬니를 만났다. 그렇게 스승과 제자로 각별한 인연을 맺은 지 15여 년이 지난 지금, 마침내 한국에서 두 사람이 만나 함께 무대에 선다.
함께 방한하는 두 연주자도 주목할 만하다. 바이올린 연주자 라파엘 진톨리는 16세부터 아르헨티나, 남미, 유럽의 가장 유명한 오케스트라에서 솔리스트로 연주하고 Buenos Aires Trio팀과 함께 미국과 유럽 전역을 투어했다. 아르헨티나의 테아트로 콜론에서 저명한 피아니스트 마르타 아르헤리치와 함께 무대에 섰으며 현재는 아르헨티나 국립 음악 오케스트라 Juan de Dios Filiberto의 리더이자 솔리스트로 활동하고 있다. 1999년 비평가 협회로부터 ‘최고의 아르헨티나 공연자상’을, 아르헨티나 음악 아카데미에서 ‘평생 공로상’을 등을 수상했다.
콘트라베이스 연주자 후안 파블로 나바로는 아르헨티나 대중음악에서 콘트라베이스를 연주하는 가장 중요한 아티스트 중 한 명으로 널리 인정받고 있다. 탱고, 포크, 재즈, 클래식 등 다양한 장르를 넘나들며 오라시오 살간, 레오폴도 페데리코, 리샤르 갈리아노, 조 로바노 등 저명한 연주자 및 킨테토 레알 등 유명한 그룹과 함께 공연하고 녹음에 참여하였다. 그의 최근 작업(2021년)인 Los Dopados-La Música de Juan Carlos Cobian 앨범은 까를로스 가르델 어워드에서 ‘올해 최고의 라이브 앨범’으로 지명되었다.
