한국인의 정서를 담은 대표 창작발레 레퍼토리 <안중근, 천국에서의 춤>
78번째 광복절을 앞둔 오는 8월 11일(금), 12일(토) 양일간 서울에서는 오직 마포아트센터에서 공연
12월 연말에 <호두까기 인형>이 있다면, 8월 광복절 시즌에는 <안중근, 천국에서의 춤>
해외에서 활약 중인 대한민국 대표 발레 무용수 이동훈과, 이은원이 안중근과 그의 아내 역으로 재회
현 워싱턴 발레단, 전 국립발레단 이은원 발레리나의 전막발레를 한국에서 5년 만에 만날 수 있는 기회!
마포문화재단(대표이사 송제용)이 오는 8월 11일(금), 12일(토) 마포아트센터 아트홀맥에서 독립운동가 안중근 의사의 삶과 철학을 그린 창작발레 <안중근, 천국에서의 춤>을 선보인다.
이번 공연은 2023년 예술경영지원센터 「공연유통협력 지원 사업」 선정 작으로 공연예술 유통시장 활성화를 위해 마포문화재단을 비롯 충주시, 광명문화재단, 성남문화재단과 M 발레단이 공동주관하는 사업으로 서울에서는 오직 마포아트센터에서 만날 수 있다.
<안중근, 천국에서의 춤>은 2015년 초연 후 전폭적인 리뉴얼을 통해 작품의 완성도와 예술성을 높이며 한국인의 정서를 담은 창작발레 레퍼토리로 자리매김해왔다. 2015년 한국문화예술위원회 「창작산실 우수작품제작지원」에 선정되어 초연 후, 2021년 예술의전당 「창작발레」로 CJ토월극장 무대에 오르며 작품의 완성도를 대폭 높였다. 이후 2022년 「제12회 대한민국발레축제」 개막작으로 선정되며 2021-22년 연속 전 회차 매진행렬을 이어가며 많은 관객과 만났다. 올해는 78번째 광복절을 앞둔 8월 11일, 12일 양일간 마포아트센터 무대에 오르며 관객과 함께 나라를 되찾기 위해 희생하신 순국선열들의 숭고한 애국정신을 기리는 의미 있는 시간을 만들어갈 예정이다.
안중근 의사의 유언을 모티브로 그의 짧은 생을 발레로 담아내다! “대한독립의 함성이 천국까지 들려오면, 나는 기꺼이 춤을 추면서 만세를 부를 것이오.”
안중근 의사의 유언을 핵심 모티브로 기획된 이 작품은 죽음 앞에서도 해방의 시대를 바랐던 안중근 의사의 삶과 철학을 담아 영웅임과 동시에 한 인간이었던 그의 짧은 생을 발레로 담아냈다. 포기를 모르고 강행해 온 안중근 의사의 구국활동을 강렬한 남성군무로 재현해내며 불굴의 의병활동, 피로 맺은 단지 동맹, 죽음을 무릅쓴 하얼빈 의거 등 우리의 역사가 지닌 강인함을 객석에 전할 것으로 기대를 모은다.
또한 문병남 M발레단 대표 겸 안무가의 파워풀하면서도 극적인 안무와 양영은 M발레단 단장의 역동적이고 입체적인 연출의 조화는 관객들을 압도하며 온 몸에 울려 퍼지는 전율을 선사할 예정이다.
해외 활약 중인 대한민국 대표 발레 무용수 이동훈과 이은원의 재회 5년 만에 발레리나 이은원의 전막 발레를 만날 수 있는 기회!
이번 공연을 위해 해외에서 활약 중인 두 대한민국 대표 발레 무용수가 뭉쳤다. 국립발레단 수석무용수 출신으로 각각 미국 툴사 발레단과 워싱턴 발레단에서 맹활약 중인 이동훈과 이은원이 한 무대에 올라 안중근 의사와 그의 아내 김아려를 연기한다. 자타가 공인하는 독보적인 기량과 섬세한 감성을 겸비한 이동훈이 풀어내는 안중근 의사, 그리고 아름다운 자태와 한결 깊어진 몸짓으로 담아내는 이은원의 김아려는 기대하지 않을 수 없다. 또한 전 우루과이 발레단 단원이자 국내 최고 테크니션인 윤별과 2015년 초연부터 함께한 김순정 성신여대 무용예술학과 교수 그리고 M발레단의 라이징 스타 김희래, 진유정 등이 함께하며 무대를 빛낸다.
